Leaked specifications of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra camera have given smartphone enthusiasts an exciting preview of the device. Set to be part of Xiaomi’s flagship lineup, the phone could debut with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. According to the leaks, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will feature four rear cameras, with one expected to be a 200-megapixel telephoto camera offering 4.3x optical zoom.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will likely sport a 50-megapixel primary camera, featuring a 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor. Along with this, the phone is expected to include a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with a Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor. In addition, there will be two telephoto cameras. One will be a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with a Sony IMX858 sensor and 3x optical zoom, while the other will be a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with a Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor and 4.3x optical zoom.
These specs, if confirmed, would make the Xiaomi 15 Ultra one of the most powerful camera setups available. The new setup will be a significant upgrade over the previous Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which launched with four 50-megapixel cameras. The biggest change is the addition of the 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, which will enhance the device’s zoom capabilities.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is also expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, offering top-tier performance. With 16GB of RAM, it will handle multitasking and demanding apps with ease. The device is likely to run HyperOS 2, based on Android 15. A 6,000mAh battery will power the handset, and it will support fast charging with 90W wired and 50W wireless options.
As the launch date approaches, Xiaomi fans are eagerly anticipating a device that promises impressive features both in performance and camera technology. With these upgrades, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra could raise the bar for smartphone photography.
