Activate Chooses Fox River Commons for New Interactive Gaming Location in Naperville

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Activate, the interactive gaming facility, has selected Fox River Commons in Naperville as the site for its second location in the greater Chicago area. The new center will occupy nearly 12,000 square feet of space and is expected to open this spring. This exciting expansion is part of Activate’s growing presence, which currently includes over 40 locations across the U.S. and Canada.

Exciting New Attraction for Naperville

In partnership with Sounds Fun Entertainment, Activate continues to impress with its immersive, high-tech game rooms featuring cutting-edge technology, lasers, and obstacles. The new Naperville location will join a variety of attractions within Fox River Commons, a vibrant neighborhood shopping center. This will be Activate’s second facility in the Chicago area, following the opening of their first site in 2023. The company plans to open a third Illinois location in the River North area next year.

The Naperville center will also feature a range of engaging experiences, creating a unique blend of fun and entertainment for visitors of all ages.

A Growing Shopping Destination

The Fox River Commons shopping center, located at 704 Illinois Route 59, continues to grow in popularity. The center is already home to The Picklr, a popular pickleball facility, and now adds Activate to its mix of entertainment options. The property, which CRC acquired in 2022, is now about 81% leased, reflecting a strong interest in its offerings.

Kristin Perry, Leasing Manager for Continental Realty Corporation (CRC), along with Brooke Spinell of Mid-America Real Estate, represented the landlord in the transaction. Courtney Waldon of Braden Real Estate represented Activate.
