Cricket Fever Grips Nation!
Excitement is building for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) just dropped images that boosted it even more. They revealed Team India’s stars in their fresh tournament jerseys. Fans got a sneak peek at Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, and captain Rohit Sharma. Rishabh Pant and Mohammed Shami also looked ready for action in the photos BCCI shared.
These pictures are creating a buzz. BCCI simply captioned their post, “These pics from today. How good.” Instantly, the images went viral online. Fans are super excited and are backing Team India big time. Everyone hopes for a fantastic tournament from the team.
Match Schedule Unveiled
Looking ahead, India’s Champions Trophy journey starts soon. They will clash with Bangladesh first on February 20 in Dubai. After that, get ready for the big one! India plays Pakistan on February 23. Then, they face New Zealand on March 2. Interestingly, all India’s games are in Dubai, not Pakistan. This is due to the tournament’s hybrid hosting plan.
Squad Updates: Changes and Replacements
But, there’s been a few changes in the team. Jasprit Bumrah, their key fast bowler, is unfortunately out. A lower back injury sidelined him. Young Harshit Rana gets his chance. He will step in to replace Bumrah. Also, spinner Varun Chakravarthy is now in the squad. His great performance against England earned him this spot.
It is worth noting that Bumrah hasn’t played since January. His last match was in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. Interestingly, Yashasvi Jaiswal is now a reserve player. He was initially in the main team after his ODI debut against England.
