Leaked iPhone 17 Designs Reveal Elongated Camera Bars and Exciting Updates

While Apple’s highly anticipated iPhone 17 series won’t launch for several months, rumors and leaks are already giving us a sneak peek at what’s to come. Recently, renders of two models from the iPhone 17 series — the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro — have surfaced, offering a glimpse into their new design features.

A Redesign for the iPhone 17: New Camera Layout

The leaked render of the standard iPhone 17 has raised eyebrows with its redesigned camera module. According to a tweet from X (formerly Twitter) user @MajinBuOfficial, the iPhone 17 could sport a more streamlined camera layout compared to its predecessors.

Unlike the vertical camera alignment found on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, the iPhone 17 is expected to feature a horizontally aligned primary and ultrawide camera setup. The cameras will be housed within an elongated camera bar that spans across the rear panel. An LED flash is also visible on the right side of the camera bar, adding to the sleek new design.

Additionally, the camera bar appears to be dark, even when the iPhone 17 is shown in a white colorway. This suggests that the camera bar will maintain a consistent color across all available color variants.

iPhone 17 Pro: Familiar Yet Enhanced Design

Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro also has its own set of exciting updates. In a video from Jon Prosser’s FrontPageTech YouTube channel, the iPhone 17 Pro was shown with an elongated camera bar similar to the standard iPhone 17. However, the Pro model is noticeably taller, as it accommodates three rear cameras. This configuration mirrors the design seen in the iPhone 16 Pro, meaning it won’t feature the rumored three horizontally aligned cameras previously shown in some renders.

Much like the iPhone 17, the iPhone 17 Pro’s camera bar also houses an LED flash on its right side, further enhancing the consistency between the two models. Although the overall design is familiar, the shift to a taller camera bar is a clear distinction for the Pro version.

What’s Next for the iPhone 17 Series?

It’s important to remember that these leaks come months ahead of the official release, so things could change as we get closer to the launch. Apple is reportedly planning to introduce a new “Air” model, which could replace the successor to the iPhone 16 Plus. As more details surface in the months ahead, we can expect to learn even more about these devices.

Should You Be Excited?

With several months still to go before the iPhone 17 series hits stores, it’s natural to wonder if these early design leaks hold any weight. However, Apple is known for its meticulous attention to detail, so it’s likely that the final product will be even more refined.

Do these camera layout changes spark your interest, or are you holding out for something even more groundbreaking? Let us know your thoughts and be sure to stay tuned as we continue to follow the latest iPhone 17 leaks and rumors!
