Bollywood’s Biggest Star: A Different Side of Amitabh Bachchan

For years, Amitabh Bachchan has been Bollywood’s ‘Shehenshah’. Everyone loves his amazing movies and acting skills. His fame is truly something special. But like all famous people, rumors always swirl around him. Some gossips even became so loud. Due to this, his father-in-law, Taroon Kumar Bhaduri, defended him once. He called Amitabh “misunderstood.”

Journalist Father-in-Law Speaks Out

You might not know this fact. Amitabh Bachchan’s father-in-law, Taroon Kumar Bhaduri, was a respected journalist. Way back then, he was quite known in the media. Actually, he shared his thoughts in a famous magazine. This magazine was called ‘Illustrated Weekly of India’. In it, he penned an article. This article talked about Amitabh, Jaya, and those Rekha rumors.

Dealing with Unwanted Attention

The late journalist wrote about unexpected fame they got. This happened because of Amitabh’s popularity. Even strangers started recognizing them. Moreover, friends became overly friendly. Surprisingly, unknown people even sent cocktail invites!

Rumors Get Out of Hand

However, things went too far for him at one point. He received a strange request. A women’s group asked him to speak. The topic? Amitabh’s supposed affair with Rekha! Indeed, rumors linked Amitabh with Rekha. Also, some also connected him to Parveen Babi. Bhaduri often got invites from Judo classes before. This was because Amitabh was known as the ‘Angry Young Man.’ But, a women’s group calling him felt very odd. “This really bothered me,” Taroon Kumar Bhaduri admitted. “So, I told them I was too busy with my own problems. I couldn’t worry about someone else’s.”

‘Misunderstood and Maligned’

Taroon Kumar Bhaduri stood by Amitabh. He went against the negative views about him. He explained, “Amit is actually shy in real life.” “He only speaks when needed,” he added. “Every morning, he reads his Gita and plays his sitar.” “Sometimes, he acts like a child.” “Despite all this, he is maybe the most misunderstood person in the film world.”

Taking it All in Stride

Bhaduri further wrote about the negativity Amitabh faced. “Certain press people in Bombay have been very harsh and mean to him.” “Anyone else might have broken down under such pressure.” “He handles it all calmly.” “But, he also knows how to respond when needed, and he does it sometimes,” Bhaduri finished.
