Xbox Beats Sony on PS5 This Year

Ankit KumarGaming3 weeks ago8 Views

This week, we are looking into the future of PlayStation 5 for 2025. Did you catch last night’s State of Play? It showed off some cool titles. However, if you were hoping for PlayStation exclusives, it felt a little thin. Right now, Sony’s big game pipeline seems a bit quiet.

But, 2025 Could Be Interesting.

Looking ahead, next year is shaping up to be unique for PlayStation. Microsoft is actually increasing its game releases for all platforms, even PlayStation. At the same time, Sony has stopped working on some of their live-service games. The reveal of “Saros” looked great! This is the new game from the Returnal developers. Sadly, it’s not coming until 2026. So, what does this all mean for PlayStation in 2025?

Game Lineup: What’s on the Horizon?

Thinking about confirmed games, PS5 should see Bungie’s Marathon launch in 2025. Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei are also expected to be big releases. Fairgame$ is still planned, and Marvel’s Wolverine might make it before 2026. However, let’s compare this to Xbox games! Age of Empires 2, Age of Mythology Retold, and Forza Horizon 5 are all coming to PlayStation. Don’t forget Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, plus the yearly Call of Duty! Microsoft appears ready to bring a lot to PlayStation. In comparison, PlayStation’s own first-party releases for 2025 seem less packed.

Xbox vs PlayStation: Who’s Winning 2025?

Here’s a surprise, maybe Xbox will have more first-party games on PlayStation 5 in 2025 than PlayStation itself! Ed Nightingale and Victoria Kennedy discussed everything this week on the Eurogamer Newscast. Want to hear their full conversation? Watch the discussion over on YouTube!
