The entire process, from designing the chip to assembling the motherboard and booting up the software, happened entirely within India. IRIS is a shining example of India’s commitment to “Make in India” and becoming a global leader in space technology. It’s part of a larger initiative called “Digital India RISC-V” (DIRV) which aims to develop secure, powerful microprocessors right here at home.
