Rajiv SinghBusiness3 weeks ago6 Views

The Adani Group has teamed up with ITE Education Services (ITEES) from Singapore to develop a skilled workforce aimed at fueling growth across various industries, including green energy, manufacturing, and industrial design. This partnership marks a significant step toward enhancing technical and vocational education in India, with an investment of over Rs 2,000 crore to establish world-class schools of excellence.

A Commitment to Skill Development

As part of a broader Rs 10,000 crore social donation initiative, the Adani family’s contribution will fund the creation of these globally benchmarked educational facilities. On Tuesday, the company had also announced an allocation of Rs 6,000 crore for the development of Adani Health Cities in collaboration with Mayo Clinic.

Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, took to social media to share the exciting news, stating, “Delighted to announce one of India’s largest Skill and Employ initiatives! In partnership with Singapore’s ITEES, the Adani Group is launching the world’s largest finishing school in Mundra.”

The Adani Global Skills Academy

The centerpiece of this initiative is the establishment of the Adani Global Skills Academy in Mundra, Gujarat. This state-of-the-art school will integrate artificial intelligence with immersive learning technologies. It aims to train over 25,000 students annually, equipping them with the skills necessary to drive India’s “Make in India” movement.

The academy will focus on fresh graduates and diploma holders from technical institutions such as ITIs and Polytechnics. They will undergo intensive boot camps that will prepare them for immediate employment. Upon certification, graduates will have the opportunity to work within the Adani Group or other industries, ensuring they are “industry-ready” from day one.

Focus on Vocational Education

The partnership with ITEES, a global leader in technical education, aims to build a continuous pipeline of qualified, industry-ready professionals. Robin Bhowmik, CEO of Adani Skills and Education, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, saying, “This partnership is critical to our initiative as a Group to build high-level technical talent in line with our Make-in-India focus.”

ITEES will help in curriculum development, certification, and faculty exchange programs, bringing international expertise to India’s workforce training.

Strengthening India’s Skill Infrastructure

The Adani Group’s new initiative aligns with the government’s efforts to strengthen vocational and technical education. By offering globally recognized certifications and hands-on training, the Adani Global Skills Academy aims to create a talent pool that will be pivotal for India’s growth across multiple sectors.

Suresh Natarajan, CEO of ITEES, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting, “Through this meaningful partnership, ITEES aims to enhance skill development and create lasting impact by transforming education and lives.”

Looking Ahead

The Adani Group’s ambitious educational and skill development programs could be a game-changer for India’s workforce, especially as industries worldwide shift towards more advanced technologies. As the academy opens its doors to thousands of students, it promises to contribute significantly to India’s industrial and economic development.

This collaboration not only underscores Adani’s commitment to India’s development but also highlights the importance of bridging the skills gap in key sectors.

As this project unfolds, the broader impact on India’s economy, job creation, and global competitiveness remains a key area to watch.
